ree

how can we surrender

if there is no war

only red and blue

president's floor

he's afraid of white

it's too pure

hero's must fight

seeking more

to conquer

neighbor's flags

when we're

dressed in rags

much to conquer

within

seek the flag

of our soul

that white flag

refuse to surrender

to ourselves

stop waving flags

of distraction

from the bags

we carry

the red

in America's face

unfed

afraid to lose our place

unwed

running a solo race

ahead

of peace doves pace

the blue

in America's face

shopping to do

gown of lace

rich sue

put poor in a vase

farmers grew

grain waits in a case

innocence flew

time to chase

God on cue

sins erase

the white

in America's face

soiled

with fear

too spoiled

to hear

the boiled

cheer

that's foiled

in each peer

America's loyaled

know this is the year

to surrender

to the war

in our soul

our flag that's pure

white is in

the stars and stripes

why red

why blue
